Augusta Health ED Construction Update

August 18, 2017

Dear Providers,

On Monday, August 21, there is work scheduled to begin in the parking drive lane outside the ED to dig a trench and install a new sanitary line. The work will take place in (7) phases beginning at the intersection of the Medical Center Circle ring road. Each phase of work will be coned off and there will be flagmen to direct traffic.  Click here for a map.

Ambulance traffic will be minimally effected during Phase 1, we will work to divert our ambulance traffic and other traffic entering from North Campus Lane along the grass to maintain access to Medical Center Circle and the ED Entrance. The schedule for the work assumes that the contractors do not encounter any unexpected materials like rock as they are digging the trench. Encountering such materials while digging could possibly extend the duration of the work. Any such extensions will be communicated as they arise.

This work will begin first thing Monday morning (7:00am on 8/21) and conclude by the end of day on Friday (9/8). There is no work or traffic interruptions planned on the weekends. See attached pdf of the impact to the drive lane that is to begin Monday.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work through this endeavor!

Best regards,
