We are adhering to the safe distancing and everyone will have their own manikin and equipment.

Part 1 of the Heartcode ACLS Course must be completed online at https://shopcpr.heart.org/courses/acls before attending this skills session which consists of Parts 2 (practice) and 3 (testing).  Skills practice and testing sessions usually take 2.5 –3 hours. You will need to bring your completed certificate with you to class

Target Audience:

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of
cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency
response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and
paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

Course Content:

• Airway management
• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
• Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
• Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
• Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Related pharmacology

No refunds will be issued for no shows or cancellations/reschedules within three (3) business days of the class start time. Note our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm.   Students may reschedule, if they notify CSEMS at least three (3) business days before course start time.  A $10 processing fee will be assessed for any refunds or reschedules.
