Part 1 of the Heartcode BLS Course must be completed online before attending this skills session which consists of Parts 2 (practice) and 3 (testing).  Skills practice and testing sessions usually take 2 – 2.5 hours.

Intended audience:

For healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of hospital settings.

Course content:
  • Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
  • The AHA Chain of Survival
  • 1-Rescuer CPR/AED for Adult/Child/Infant
  • 2-Rescuer CPR/AED for Adult/Child/Infant
  • Differences between Adult, Child and Infant rescue techniques
  • Bag-mask techniques for Adult, Child and Infant
  • Rescue breathing for Adult, Child and Infant
  • Relief of choking for Adult, Child and Infant
  • Intro to CPR with an Advanced Airway

Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start time, once class has started late arrivals will not be admitted.
