Consolidated Test Sites

 General Consolidated Test Site Guidelines

  • Registration Required for All Test Sites
    • The deadline to register and submit payment for a consolidated test site is ten (10) days in advance of the date of the test. Any requests for site registration or payment after that date cannot be honored.
    • Candidates arriving at a consolidated test without registering will not be allowed to test.
    • Once we reach the 10-day threshold before a scheduled CTS, we will:
      • No longer move students from one test site date to another.
      • No longer refund CTS fees.
    • Students who miss a test site (regardless of reason) will be required to re-register and pay for a future test date. Refunds WILL NOT be honored for missed test sites.
  • Candidate Responsibilities for the Test Site
    • The candidate is responsible for ensuring that:
      • they are properly registered for the test site.
      • they are properly dressed for the test site.
      • they arrive to the test site ahead of the scheduled start time.  You WILL NOT be admitted to the test site if you arrive late.
      • their Eligibility Letter is printed off and brought to the test site.
      • they possess a valid Eligibility Letter that has not expired.
      • they understand the Consolidated Test Site process.  Questions about the CTS can be directed to Dawn Varner at (dvarner@vaems.org).

    Weapons Prohibition at Test Site

    • Carrying, bringing, using or possessing any firearm, dangerous device or weapon in any Augusta County Public school building, on school grounds, in any school vehicle or at any school sponsored activity is prohibited. This prohibition applies to private vehicles parked on school property with or without permission. Weapons possessed in violation of this policy are subject to seizure by school officials. Any incident involving weapons as defined in this policy will be reported to the Superintendent or his designee.
    • For the purposes of this policy, weapons are those items defined by the Code of Virginia in §18.2-308.
  • Testing Begins Promptly at 6:30 PM
    • Candidates arriving after 6:30 PM will not be allowed to test.
  • Consolidated Test Site Fees
    • Initial Practical Examination: $50
    • Retest Practical Examination: $25
    • Payment must be received prior to the test date! It is your responsibility to ensure that the payment has been received by the CSEMS Council prior to the test.
    • Payment WILL NOT be accepted at the test site.
    • You WILL NOT be admitted to the test site if your registration fee has not been paid.
    • Candidates that need to cancel a registration should call the CSEMS Council office (540-886-3676 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, except holidays) no less than ten (10) days prior to the test site. Refunds WILL NOT be honored if cancellation is less than ten (10) days prior to test site.
